Even though Brooke is eager to reconnect with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), he is reluctant to hurt Taylor Hayes’ (Rebecca Budig) feelings again.
Ridge is striving to be a man who keeps his promises – which means he must remain loyal to the commitment he made to Taylor.
Despite Brooke’s persistent efforts to draw Ridge back to her, she will ultimately come to terms with the possibility that they may not be each other’s fate after all.
In the weeks ahead, Brooke will undergo some challenging shifts in her viewpoint, preparing her to open her heart to someone new in the near future.
When Jack Wagner makes his return as Nick Marone this June, he is sure to capture Brooke’s interest.
Since Brooke and Nick are former spouses, it won’t be long before the chemistry reignites. Nick, Brooke, Ridge, and Eric Forrester (John McCook) will feature in the upcoming episodes set in Italy, which are set to air this July.
Ridge might experience some jealousy as he observes Brooke rekindling her relationship with Nick during this trip.
Given the rapid pace of relationships on B&B, Nick and Brooke could be looking at a quick engagement in their future. It would be exciting if Brooke were to get engaged to Nick next, as this could pave the way for a double wedding with Hope and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor).
If Nick and Brooke begin organizing their wedding, it might serve as a significant wake-up call for Ridge, he may realize his last chance with Brooke is slipping away.
Could this be the push Ridge needs to leave Taylor behind and pursue Brooke again? Either way, wedding season tends to hit around this time on soap operas, so we wouldn’t be shocked if more proposals are on the horizon.
