The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Chelsea’s Creeping Doubt, Claire’s Reality Check, Victor’s Fury

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, May 9 tease that Klaire are put to the test: Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) weakness is revealed and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) is given a reality check.

Nikki Updates Claire

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) tries to help her granddaughter navigate her life where it concerns Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) animosity toward Kyle. Claire is holding out hope that Victor comes around to her way of thinking and accepts her relationship with Kyle.

That is not likely to happen give the feud between the Abbotts and the Newmans. Nikki has seen the drama play out for decades and she wants Claire to be realistic.

Will Victor Given His Blessing to Klaire?

On Friday’s episode, Nikki tells Claire that Victor tolerating Kyle is the best she can hope for. She may also spill what she knows about the impending corporate wars between the two families.

Elsewhere, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) tells Victor about Kyle and Claire wanting to buy his old place and this frosts the older man’s shorts. How dare they fall in love?

In response, angry Victor tries to thwart Kyle and Claire’s move and this could involve messing things up for Kyle at Jabot. Spoiler alert: Kyle vents to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about Victor’s latest manipulations.

Meanwhile, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) isn’t sure she likes Adam’s plan to deal with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Aristotle Dumas. She smells something fishy but erstwhile Adam puts a positive spin on their Newman Media partnership.

Will Chelsea regret her decision to quit her old job and work with Adam? Definitely maybe! You know what they say about mixing business and pleasure and we can’t help but wonder how volatile Chadam will handle being together 24/7.
