Royal Expert Says Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Are All Take And No Give

Prince Harry’s shocking interview with the BBC has kind of drawn the line when it comes to how the masses perceive the royal.

There’s been a lot of chatter about the inconsistencies in Harry’s proclamations. For example, how he says he wants reconciliation with his family and on the other hand goes on to slight the very people he seeks reconciliation with.

Indeed since stepping down in 2020, Prince Harry has yet to hit that stride where anyone can look and say that he’s successfully moved on. Everyday seems to be a new drama that harkens back to the rift, and it’s a sure bet the smoke is coming from Sussex camp.

If it’s not HRH title uproar, it’s about security arrangements and other like matters. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s 2025.

Meghan Markle Accused of Hypocrisy Over ‘HRH’ Use

We rounded up last month with the discovery that Meghan has been using her HRH honorific for years. If you ask sources connected to her, they’ll say it’s in a private capacity.

But the reality remains that it is a title she should no longer be able to use in address per their exit deal. So you can imagine why Meghan’s continual use of the honorific has prompted Vanity Fair’s royal expert Katie Nicholl to point out the ”hypocrisy element” in it.

“A big issue over, well, you’ve attacked this institution many, many times, most recently in a podcast, which we’ve just heard this week. And yet you want to retain all of the perks and privileges of being in that institution, which is, of course, the titles.”

Nicholl continued: “I suppose if they are just Harry and Meghan Sussex, because that is her name, she’s right to say she’s not a Markle anymore – when you marry most people take their husband’s name and that’s what she’s done – but she doesn’t need to be using the HRH title.”

Nicholl then opined that the reason Meghan has opted to retain the title was to use it to boost her As Ever brand and make herself naturally stand apart from the crowd.

The royal expert continued: “She doesn’t really need to be using the Duchess of Sussex. But of course, that sets her aside from, you know, everyone else, including top list, A-list Hollywood celebrities.”

As some people have pointed out, Harry and Meghan only ever wanted to leave the Royal Family to use the privileges it afforded them to make some Hollywood cash. Dare I say it’s starting to sound just about right.
