Tension is brewing in the American Idol universe, and this time, it’s centered around one of the show’s most celebrated alumni — Carrie Underwood.

“I’ve heard people on set say that Carrie’s influence is ruining the legacy of the show. Things started great with her this season but the longer she’s been a judge, the more feathers she has ruffled,” the insider shared.
Behind the scenes, tensions seem equally palpable. While Carrie reportedly has Luke Bryan firmly in her corner — often stepping in to ensure she gets what she needs — not everyone on set has embraced the new direction.

She felt it was important to have gospel night after moving to LA where she feels she can’t be as open about her religion and beliefs,” they explained.

I think Carrie is doing a fantastic job! Although I may not be the most religious person on earth, the one night of faith based show certainly was no big deal and might have made a few people feel better!!
