General Hospital Spoilers UPDATE Friday, April 18: Welcome To The Family, Tempting Proposals, Wise Advice

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Friday, April 18 tease welcome to the family, tempting proposals, and wise advice. Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) welcomes someone to the family, and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) gives wise advice.

Nothing Ironclad

At the Deception Cosmetics headquarters, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is caught off guard by a phone call while Brook Lynn Chase (Amanda Setton) looks on.

Maxie responds firmly, insisting to the caller that nothing is set in stone! Clearly irritated, she is poised to inform Brook Lynn about the situation shortly.

Whatever the topic of discussion is, it’s far from finalized. It appears they might need to return to negotiations or rethink their strategy!

Welcome To The Family

At the Quartermaine estate, Olivia engages in conversation with Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), expressing her belief that Sasha is on the path to becoming a genuine member of the Quartermaine family. Olivia is under the impression that the baby Sasha is expecting belongs to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), when in reality, it is Michael Corinthos’ child (most recently portrayed by Chad Duell).

However, it’s worth noting that Michael is a Quartermaine by blood, as he was born to AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) and is only a Corinthos by adoption. Despite not being engaged to either Jason or Michael, Sasha beams at Olivia’s warm family welcome.

A Healthy Dose Of Competition

Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) looks skeptical as Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) asks her, “Doesn’t this seem a little blown out of proportion”? The two are competing for the position of Professor Henry Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) assistant, but for Josslyn, if she fails it’s a blown mission! Emma has already caught up with the class, and Dalton was impressed; Josslyn’s still studying her head off.

For Josslyn, it’s a lot at stake because she has to be close to Dalton to complete her WSB mission. She hasn’t been told exactly why, but she can’t lose this assistant position-apparently it’s vital to getting intel.

Tempting Proposals

Meanwhile, Jordan finds herself in the company of Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), who is presenting her with an enticing proposition. She inquires about his specific expectations from her. Jordan must tread carefully, keeping in mind that Sidwell is not someone to be relied upon, and navigating this situation will be tricky.

To uncover the information she needs, she must earn his trust. It’s already challenging enough with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) questioning her departure from the Deputy Mayor position.

The last thing she wants is for Sidwell to become suspicious, especially since Curtis has already accurately guessed that she’s working undercover!

Wise Advice

At Carly’s home, she offers Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) some wise counsel following her earlier conversation with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner).

Carly advises Sonny that if he genuinely wants to assist Laura Collins (Genie Francis), he should step back. The entire referendum was sparked by the bond between Laura and Sonny, along with Sonny’s ownership of the two piers that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) are targeting for the Esplanade.

For now, minimizing the connection between Laura and Sonny is the best course of action. That way their years long connection is not so apt to remain the focus.

A Bit Of A Confrontation

It seems that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is about to interrupt Sasha and Olivia as he arrives to confront Sasha directly. He’s eager to understand why she chose to betray him by aligning with Sidwell.

Sasha had previously struck a deal with Sidwell without informing Jason, but it appears he has now uncovered the truth.

This encounter is likely to spark a significant discussion between them; could this be what Olivia is referring to when she talks about Sasha progressing toward becoming a genuine Quartermaine? How will she manage Jason’s confrontation?
