General Hospital Chose Daniel Goddard Over Brandon Barash

It seems as though General Hospital decided to cast Daniel Goddard as the new professor at Port Charles University. The actor was once best known for his role as Cane on The Young and the Restless.

There was some speculation suggesting the producers of the show would bring back Brandon Barash after he was fired from Days of Our Lives. As many fans can recall, Brandon used to play Johnny Zacchara in Port Charles. But that clearly didn’t happen.

In fact, fans have been expressing their disappointment over the fact that Daniel was brought back on the canvas while Brandon is still struggling to find work in the entertainment industry. 

After all, there aren’t a lot of fans out there who actually like Daniel Goddard. It was rumored several years ago that he too got fired from The Young and the Restless because he refused to have his character be romantically linked with actress Beth Maitland, who plays Traci Abbott on the show.

Then again, it’s also been suggested that Daniel’s role on General Hospital is just a temporary one. That’s why he’s probably doing everything he can behind the scenes to prove to the producers that he’s got what it takes to stay on the show full-time.

Now, whether or not Brandon ever comes back to Port Charles to reprise his role as Johnny remains to be seen. There’s no doubt that General Hospital fans would love to see him on the small screen again, too.
