This time last year there were so many General Hospital fans who were excited about seeing Steve Burton back on the canvas as Jason Morgan.

Fast-forward one year later and it seems like no one is sure of what Jason is doing these days or where his character is headed. Jason used to be known for his “stone cold” demeanour but now it seems like he’s nothing but a lap dog for the Corinthos family.

Not only that, but he seems to be fixated with Sasha and her unborn baby. You’d think that Jason would do a better job of taking care of his son Danny, seeing how his mother Sam McCall had passed away not too long ago, but that hasn’t been the case at all.

In fact, many people are calling Jason Morgan an absentee dad. Not only that, but they just don’t know what the purpose of him is on the show now, with a lot of people calling him a failed return.

In other words, Port Charles could easily do without Jason on the show and no one would even notice. That’s how insignificant the character has become. And for a lot of long-time fans of the show, that’s pretty shameful as Jason was once a legacy character.

General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Jason Morgan?

With that said, no one knows if it’s the writing that is to blame or if it’s just poor timing.

Now, as far as what’s next for Jason Morgan in Port Charles, it goes without saying that General Hospital fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.
