General Hospital comings and goings say that The Young and the Restless alum Daniel Goddard will soon be making his way to Port Charles. However, there are quite a few fans out there who don’t think this is a very good idea. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Per the latest reports, Daniel Goddard will be joining the cast of General Hospital as Professor Dalton. Now, whether or not this is going to be a temporary role, no one knows yet.

However, there are a lot of fans out there who are split over this decision. That’s because they either think that General Hospital is bringing on too many characters or they think that Daniel would have been better recast as the new Jasper Jacks instead.

That, and there are also fans who just think that Daniel should go back to The Young and the Restless to reprise his old Genoa City character, Cane.

As you can imagine, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.

Some have even commented with, “Let’s be honest, we were all not expecting this. I was thinking and hoping he was returning to his role of Cane on Y&R. I must admit I’m disappointed because Y&R needs him IMO.”

If true, it’s no wonder he’s joining GH. As mentioned by others, at his age, he’ll probably end up paired with one of Willow/Sasha if not the YA cast of Joss/Emma.”
