Per the latest reports, a settlement seems to be happening between two former General Hospital crew members after they were fired for not complying with the ABC network’s vaccine mandate back in 2021. And no, we are not talking about actor Ingo Rademacher.’
Plaintiffs James Wahl and his son, Timothy James Wahl, were stage technicians who worked with unmasked actors. They claim that they were wrongly characterized the plaintiffs’ objections to vaccination “purely as lifestyle choices that it had no duty to accommodate.”
According to Deadline, Superior Court Judge Tony Richardson delayed the trial date from May 13 to June 9. This is because both sides are trying to reach a settlement in the case.
In other words, General Hospital might be coughing up some cash that could be better used to update their sets instead.
As our readers can imagine, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about this matter.
Some have even commented with, “A lot of entertainment companies fired people for refusing to get the vaccine, after forcing them back into the office during a health crisis. They picked a lane and it was corporate greed and control.”
“The pandemic and covid were very real. The vaccines worked. And yet I still agree that these corporations were in the wrong.”
Another critic wrote, “I am unvaccinated and after signing a deal for a commercial, I told them if they were going to disqualify me I’d be bringing a lawsuit. They backed down, and subsequently dropped the mandate altogether.”
“What little power you thought you had has already rapidly disappeared.”
And then there was this comment as well: “In case you hadn’t heard the CDC has been admitting since June of 2021 that the Covid Vaccines do not stop infection or transmission of the disease. So who exactly would be protected other than the person getting the vaccine?”
