Is Roger Howarth returning to Port Charles? That’s what a lot of General Hospital fans can’t help but wonder as there seems to be a rumor swirling online that he will be back on the canvas sooner rather than later. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Per the latest reports, it looks like Roger might return, with some people suggesting that he could play Josslyn’s next WSB assignment.
The last time fans saw Roger on the canvas was back in 2023 right before he was let go from his contract.
There was even speculation at the time that Rogert might have been released from his contract on the show to make room for much younger actors on the soap.
Some have even pointed out that Roger, who was best known for his character Austin that year, didn’t have much of a say when it came to his storyline, yet a child actor like Jophielle Love got to debut her new song on the show. This prompted a lot of fans to ask: what gives?
A few General Hospital fans have even commented on the matter with, “I think Roger is one of the most special actors to ever be in a soap, there’s no one else like him! I would always love to have him back on GH!”
Another fan wrote, “I suspect Howarth returns to a CBS soap – The Gates is an easy east coast commute- once you semi-retire and can afford it, probably takes A LOT to go back to a soap grind- sadly I suspect he’s gone gone.”
And then there was this comment as well: “Roger needs to stay away. He has played 3 different characters on this show (Todd, Franco, Austin) all with the same face. Just like John McBain started then went to Caleb Morley or whatever then he was Hamilton Finn.”
So far the producers of the soap have not made any comment about whether or not Roger Howarth will be returning to the show.
In the meantime, fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.

I stopped watching GH after Roger Howarth was let go! He had been a real asset to the show while some of the younger actors are much less talented! A role similar to Todd Manning, or the matured Manning with lots of power over the town!
