It seems like Brooke wouldn’t have been so disappointed in Hope and Carter’s takeover if things between her and Ridge were still solid. 

Plus, a lot of people believe that Brooke is acting out of character by condemning her daughter so much for creating the work environment that she supposedly did. Yet, Brooke hasn’t said anything about Steffy attacking Hope the way that she has and Ridge even calling her the “b” word. 

It goes without saying that the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter. Some even commented with, “A lot of it definitely seems to be for Ridge. She probably blames Hope for breaking up her and Ridge, so she feels a responsibility to prove she doesn’t support what Hope did so that Ridge will come back to her.”

“Brooke did go to Ridge with the takeover before her and Ridge ever broke up. It didn’t seem like she expected Ridge to give the ultimatum of Brooke kicking Hope out of the cabin or else he will leave. Brooke has always been ride or die for Hope, so it does seem a bit out of character for her to not be supporting Hope.”

Another fan wrote, “However, Brooke has been a part of FC for decades and knows that it belongs to the Forresters, so she may have grown a bit as she got older and realizes that she can’t always coddle her daughter. However, a lot of her fight definitely seems to be about getting Ridge back.”

And then there was this comment as well: “She’s showing a hell of a lot of loyalty to a man who raced into Taylor’s arms at the least provocation. For the next 2 weeks, we’ll see her endlessly groveling to beg him to come back to her since this is all over.
