General Hospital spoilers heavily predict that the producers of the show are having a very hard time finding a suitable actress to replace Kelly Monaco as the new Sam McCall on the hit ABC soap. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
As many of our readers are already aware of, the producers fired Kelly late last summer and without really giving her much of a reason, either.
For months General Hospital fans have been campaigning to try and get Kelly back on the show, but nothing has worked. Not only that, General Hospital fans still haven’t gotten a reason as to why Kelly was even let go in the first place.
General Hospital spoilers now heavily predict that Sam McCall will come back in one way or another. After all, this is daytime television. But the only problem is that it’s going to be very hard to find someone to play the new version of Sam McCall.
That’s because who ever comes on board will be heavily criticized and compared to Kelly. Of course, that won’t be fair but seeing how Sam McCall is a legacy character that everyone loved so much, it’s inevitable that it’s going to happen.
Clearly, the easiest thing to do would be to bring Kelly back on the show, but it’s highly unlikely that the producers of General Hospital will want to go down that route. There was some speculation suggesting that Kelly got fired because she became unreliable with all of her absences.
Now, whether or not Kelly Monaco will ever come back or if the producers will manage to replace her with a new actress remains to be seen. It’s going to be a lengthy process.
With that said, General Hospital fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.

If it can't be Kelly Monaco then don't bring in a substitute..Kelly is the only Sam McCall in my book..and you should have listen to us when we begged you to keep her
Don't know who or why the decision to let KM go is not the situation at this time, nor do we the viewers even need to know what occurred. The main issue now is that the Sam character is needed due to story lines in place at this time. I do agree with the spoiler writers (which is a miracle in itself), KM will be hard to replace - just look at the problems with the Lulu recast, which is really not the actress fault, but that of the writers who changed the character's persona so much she is not recognizable. If there is a Sam recast why go through all the problems of having someone try to attempt to make the Sam character her own. As with the Jason character, only SB can be viewed as Jason and KM will only be viewed as Sam. There are times when recast don't work especially when the recast is for a legendary character. My suggestion is for KM and the powers that be sit down and have a heart to heart discussion regarding which each needs in order for KM to be reinstated and when done, have writers to pen her as she has always been instead of trying to reinvent the character. Just look at the Drew character, CM stepped in and Drew has never been the same. Mistakes and misjudgments are made often, but in this case those involved need to bite the bullet and come to common ground on getting the Sam character back on canvas as soon as possible. In fact, if the character is brought back as herself and a decent story line written, it may help ratings for GH significantly. Just my thoughts.
