Is there any way that they can turn back time? That’s what a lot of General Hospital fans can’t help but feel as they believe that Kelly Monaco (ex-Sam McCall) delivered an Emmy-worthy performance on the show but didn’t get credit for it. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
While there’s no doubt that Sam has experienced a lot of ups and down during her time in this fictional town of Port Charles, there was one time that stood out more than others.
That’s because fans think it’s when Sam lost her Baby Laila. It’s a scene that makes fans cry each and every time just because Kelly managed to make it look all so real from the grief to her still being in pain from the surgery.
Not only that, but there was so much denial and anguish. It was a scene in which Kelly poured her entire heart in and of course, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was by her side the entire time.
The way that Jason was holding Sam while she was crying on the floor is a scene that fans will never forget. And because of that, they believe that Kelly missed out on bringing home a trophy even though she delivered the Emmy-worthy performance of a lifetime.
Sadly, and as many of our fans know, Kelly was fired from General Hospital late last year for reasons that are still unknown. She hasn’t been seen on the canvas since late 2024.
Now, whether or not Sam McCall ever returns to the canvas remains to be seen. So far the producers of the soap have not made any comments about whether or not they plan on hiring a new actor to fill in for her shoes.
With that said, General Hosptial fans will have to keep tuning in each and every day to find out what will happen next.
