It looks like they are off to a running start. There’s a new report that suggests the hit CBS soap Beyond The Gates is set to become bigger than General Hospital and there’s a good reason for it, too. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
There’s a new report that says Beyond The Gates will have a two-week run on BET, even though the soap already airs on Paramount and CBS.
The first of the ten episodes has already aired on March 10th. There’s speculation that suggests the move was made in order to attract viewers to watch it on CBS and of course, boost daytime ratings.
For the producers of General Hospital, this is quite troubling as Beyond The Gates has become their main competitor. BTG has already won the ratings war in their debut week and some people think that it’s going to stay that way seeing how there’s so much interest in the soap.
After all, it’s not like General Hospital can afford to lose their audience. Of course, the internet did have a lot to say about the matter.
Some even commented with, “Love this! This should really get a few more people hooked on the soap especially a younger viewers. There is also a large Tyler Perry audience on BET that may not know about this soap, so there’s that as well.”
“I love how much they are promoting this show. I hope it continues and helps it to build a strong following.”
Another critic wrote, “I know Beyond The Gates is coming to Canada. Yet, they need to also get it licensed into the Caribbean Island nations. As well as Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria and most of all South Africa.”
“The UK would also love having BTG as well as Australia and New Zealand. Then, you move on to France.”
Beyond The Gates airs weekdays on the CBS network. Check your local listings for times.

I for one found it rather boring! I dvr'd A week of it and couldn't get into! Just my opinion!
It probably wouldn't take much to achieve being better than GH due to the current writing which seems to get worse daily. Have heard BTG was boring, I haven't watched and won't as GH foolishness is all I can bare when it comes to this type of programming and only continue to watch GH as I am a long time viewer and hope things will change. No need to mention the changes needed, as all who view GH already know GH needs a big overhaul if it is to be continued in ABC programming.
