General Hospital alum Kelly Thiebaud is someone who has certainly had a lot of ups and downs over the years. And while that hasn’t stopped her from smiling her million dollar smile, she has had some setbacks.

In fact, Kelly has had quite a few tragic moments that a lot of her fans don’t even know about. We have a few of them for you below.

In 2022, Kelly made an announcement about her sobriety. She said at the time, It’s been 2 weeks since I’ve had a drink. Not a big deal 4 most, Im sure,but 4 me it is. I’m interested n what life’s like w/out alcohol.”

“I’m doing Halloween sober 4 the first time n I don’t even know how long. Let’s c how much fun sober Kelly can b! Or,how much I can tolerate.”

In 2023, the brunette beauty admitted that she had to leave General Hospital for personal reasons. It’s not that she wanted to leave the daytime television world, but mostly because she had to. Kelly fell in love with a man that lives on the other side of the world and decided to pack up her bags and go be with him!

General Hospital News: Kelly Opened Up About Her Absence

Back in April 2024, Kelly shared a troubling message. She said, “Hi everyone, I know I’ve been absent on here. So much is changing in my life. Maybe soon I’ll find a way to talk about it all but I want to thank you for your messages and love for Britt. It makes me both sad and happy to read them. Sending you all love & hugs!”

Sadly, Kelly’s engagement didn’t work out with her fiance and in 2024 she ended up moving back to the United States. There’s also been speculation suggesting she might come back to General Hospital.

Now, whether or not Kelly does return to Port Charles remains to be seen. So far the actress has not made any comments about the matter just yet. Watch this space for more.
