And you probably thought it would never happen again, right? Well, we’ve got some major General Hospital news and speculation for you that suggests a fan favorite might be returning back to the canvas sooner rather than later.
That’s because there are reports suggesting Kelly Thiebaud might return to General Hospital to reprise her role as Britt Westbourne.
The last time that we heard from Britt was back in 2023 when she announced that she had ended her role as Britt on the show. That year, Kelly uploaded a video on her Instagram account and shared a montage of some of her best memories from the show.
“A tribute to all the years I’ve been lucky enough to entertain you as Dr. Britt Westbourne and lucky enough to work with such wonderful and kind people,” she captioned her post. “Being on this show, being in your living rooms every day, is an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you for all of the amazing support over the years.”
“There are so many people not in this video only because I didn’t get a picture with you but I truly miss seeing all of your faces at work,” she continued. “One day I hope to share all of my stories about being on GH with my kids and what a fun time I had. I love you all. P.S. sorry this video is so long.”
Kelly then moved to London to be with her fiance soon thereafter. Apparently, it’s been suggested that the actress left General Hospital to move to London so she could be closer to the love of her life.
She told Soap Opera Digest, “There are so many different aspects of it, honestly. One is that I’m in love and have been doing long-distance for almost a year now and my partner cannot move to the States at the moment.”
“But also, as a lot of people who have followed me on the show know, I am very interested in doing other things with my career. As much as I love Britt and I love the fans and I love working on GENERAL HOSPITAL, I just felt like I had to leave and go and pursue those other dreams and goals of mine.”
Although nothing has been confirmed at this point, it’s been said that Kelly did move back to the United States and is looking to dip her toes back into the daytime television world. We will definitely update you with all of the latest details once they come in. Watch this space for more.
That, and producers of General Hospital have not made any comments about the matter either.

Britt's return would be interesting as long as it is not specifically for a pairing with Jason. I know many liked the proposed pairing previously, but I do not feel the two as a pairing can make for a good story telling. Just my opinion, and you surely can have yours.

Yes bring back Britt and get rid of Lulu. Her return wasn't needed and she is nothing but a self centered witch. My final staw with her is her heartless way of telling Brooklyn about her baby. Information that was none of her business. Put her back in a coma I can't stand watching her.
