Of course, we are talking about General Hospital star Cameron Mathison, who is best known for his role as Drew Qaurtermaine on the hit ABC soap.

The actor has dealt with some pretty tragic things in his life lately. 

Back in July 2024, it was announced that Cameron and his wife Vanessa Arevalo has filed for divorce after two decades of marriage. The announcement came as a shock to many of his daytime television fans.

In January, it was reported that Cameron lost his home in the devastating wildfires that have hit Los Angeles County. As of press time, the catastrophic fires have not been contained.

Cameron shared a photo of the wreckage and in his caption wrote, “We are safe. But this is what’s left of our beautiful home.”

The actor also said, “Our home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday.”

“Thanks to all who reached out and checked in. Can’t respond to all so wanted to give an update here.”

General Hospital News: What’s Next For Cameron Mathison?

Cameron also added, “Sending so many prayers to everyone being affected by these fires.”

It was also reported that there’s a good chance Cameron might be looking to get out of his General Hospital contract. Many viewers have taken to social media to weigh in on how different Drew has been acting lately and how it almost seems like Cameron Mathison seems to be phoning in his performances.

Now, that’s not to say that he is, but something just seems to be off and it’s enough for General Hospital fans and critics to feel concerned about what the future might hold.
