Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline Macinnes Wood) has some serious decisions to make on The Bold and the Beautiful. She and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) have taken both comfort and pride in the fact that they have been able to overcome everything that life has thrown at them.
That includes several near-death experiences and Finn’s murderous biological mother. All of those things pale in comparison to the brick wall that is currently in front of them.
Finn recently discovered that he is Luna Nozawa’s biological father after thinking that they were cousins ever since the day that she was born. Finn has sex once with his adoptive aunt, Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park), and she got pregnant but denied that he was the father.
Poppy had moved in with Finn’s family when he was 18 and apparently the two grew close, a little too close.
Poppy left town after getting pregnant and was careful to keep Finn and Luna at a distance from each other. She also did drugs and had several male suitors, so Finn suspected nothing until recently.
After several other men didn’t match Luna’s DNA, he decided to test himself twice, and both tests confirmed that he is Luna’s biological father.
He recently found Luna under house arrest at Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) and told her the truth. They have now compared notes, and both feel that they have been deprived of a twenty-plus-year relationship. Finn also believes that if he had been able to parent Luna, she might not be serving time for two murders.
She also kidnapped Steffy and had intended to kill her had Finn not discovered their location at the last minute. Steffy has been left traumatized by the incident, and the only thing bringing her any comfort is the idea that Luna will be in prison forever.
Finn has told Steffy the truth, and as of now, she is vowing to stand by him. She thinks that Poppy took advantage of him and that he is innocent of any wrongdoing. She told her parents, Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), who both believe that she needs to take the kids and leave Finn immediately.
At first, Steffy thought that things would be okay because Luna is locked up, but her parents insisted that this situation is going to get much worse because Finn would want a relationship with his daughter, and how on earth could she handle that?
On some level, Steffy knows that they are right and that it will bring Luna directly into their lives. Also, this means that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), who has killed several people, is Luna’s biological grandmother. Taylor and Ridge have reminded Steffy of all of these things and are leaning on her to move into the Forrester estate with them.
Steffy may want to keep her marriage and family intact, but can she? Is she brave enough to live with Luna and Sheila in her life again? Is it fair for her to expect Finn to abandon his daughter? What do you think will happen next?
