Of course, we are talking about soap star Jon Lindstrom. Even though he hasn’t officially confirmed that he’s leaving General Hospital for the new CBS soap Beyond The Gates, he did recently set the record straight about how fortunate he is to be on the show.

In fact, on social media, the veteran daytime television actor said, “Nothing like being part of something making cultural waves.”

Jon made this comment after pointing out that Beyond The Gates made it to the Saturday Night Live weekend update.

A lot of his social media followers commented with, “Good luck with the show. I’m afraid it won’t last long sadly. There’s barely a market for the long time soaps on the air as it is.”

Another critic wrote, “Saw the preview for next week your character is sitting in a car. Congratulations again. Glad your acting is appreciated somewhere else.”

And then there was this comment as well: “That’s not just any new show, that’s the fabulous new soap, Beyond the Gates! Week 1 was the strongest launch of a new show in my lifetime!”

“Beyond the Gates has permanently raised the bar for daytime TV.”

What’s Next For Beyond The Gates?

Now, whether or not Jon does go back to General Hospital remains to be seen, but so far it looks like he is focusing on his work with Beyond The Gates. And from what we can tell, his fans have no complaints about it whatsoever.

That said, we have a feeling that Jon is going to be spending more time in Atlanta than in Los Angeles in the coming weeks and months ahead.

So far the actor has not made any additional comments about the matter.
