The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that at this point, everyone can clearly agree on the same thing: the writers of the soap clearly hate Dr. John Finnegan.
That’s because they keep on giving him the short end of the stick. And this storyline with Poppy taking advantage of him, getting pregnant with his daughter, and not telling him anything until twenty some years later is just making things completely worse.
If that weren’t enough, his mother is Sheila Carter, almost killed him and he is married to Steffy Forrester, who always acts like a narcissist. Plus he worked overtime to find a way to save Eric, who was milking his illness and had already given up on life.
Everyone can agree that Finn has not ask for these problems and he’s going to try to handle them with as much grace and maturity as possible.
One fan of the show wrote on social media, “My take is simply that Finn didn’t ask for any of this and in just a handful of years has had to take an immense amount of unprecedented responsibility.”
“Outside of Li, the only person who’s offered him softness and sensitivity and empathy was Hope, who was really just self-motivated and preying on him too.”
Another critic said, “Steffy could easily offer to connect him to tons of resources and support through Taylor but instead has just asked more and more of him. She’s recently shown more appreciation for all he’s done but I’m certain that’ll backslide again now with all of this.”
And then there was this comment as well: “I look at him and see a lost and traumatized little boy. One person or another is always disapproving of his choices and trying to push what they think is best onto him. He’s never really been allowed to just be himself and be free.”
