A lot of fans and critics of Beyond The Gates can’t help but wonder, did the show mess up the opening scene?
That’s because a lot of people think that the new CBS soap opera should have gone for more bang for their buck. And of course, the audience shared their ideas of what should have happened rather than what had happened.
Not only that, but they also added their critique of what should come next for our favorite legacy families in this fictional town of Atlanta.
Of course, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter. Some critics have even commented with, “New soaps, especially in this day and age, should start out with a bang to quickly grab the viewer’s attention.”
“The show should have opened with Dani catching her husband in bed with their daughter’s best friend and then going straight into the fallout as opposed to simply rehashing it. But it was an okay premier. I’ll tune in again.”
Another critic wrote, “I enjoyed it. Much better than the other 4 right now. CM is amazing. Lauren Buglioni is a scene stealer. Anita needs a rival. Derek in an apron, yes please!! Looking forward to seeing what’s really going on between Derek and Nurse. Took me a minute to realize Vernon was Reverend Reuben.”
And then there was this comment as well: “So many characters to remember, but I thought they set it up well to establish the main families. I have always loved Clifton Davis, so I was excited to see him. I am not familiar with a lot of the other actors, but the woman who plays Anita is stunning and riveting and so regal.”
It goes without saying that fans will simply have to tune in to Beyond The Gates each and every day to find out what will happen next.
