Is Beyond The Gates already headed for the cancellation bin? That’s what a lot of fans and critics can’t help but wonder even though the soap has only aired a few episodes so far. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Even though Beyond The Gates has garnered mostly positive reviews, it’s not enough for fans to hook in fans for the long run.
That’s because some critics believe that the premise is too campy and that it’s unrealistic with its wealth inequalities. In fact, some people think that the soap is not grounded at all, which is the opposite of what viewers want to see these days.
It goes without saying that the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.
Some even commented with, “I will be shocked if it’s still on this time next year. Most people that regularly sit down and watch soaps are 75+ years old and have regularly watched the same 3 shows daily for the past 30+ years.”
“These people are dying off quickly and younger viewers do not have the time nor the desire to sit down at 2 everyday and watch a new episode for a half hour.”
Another critic wrote, “I know that Beyond the gates will attract soap opera viewers including their relatives, but it might not attract new viewers as most prefer Grounded drama and realistic shows and even reality shows.”
And then there was this comment as well: “If Beyond the Gates won’t attract new viewers and won’t increase TV ratings in about few months and won’t renew for more seasons, then this will cause CBS to make a hard decision to cancel Beyond the Gates and realize that Daytime soaps are extinct and people don’t watch them anymore.”
So far the producers for the show have not made any comments about the matter just yet.

I’ve been watching this soap opera since it started so far I like it . My other stories they took off . So I was excited for this one to start and be to watch from the beginning.
Beyond the gates needs to be canceled.
The acting is horrible and the storyline is unrealistic.
The only person who can't act is Dani, she's to antomatic and it shows. So soaps like Young and the restless can have a wealthy family because they're white, but God forbid a black family can be wealthy. I watch soap daily, and I'm not in my seventies. Soaps have never had a younger viewship ever, it's always been geared towards those persons who most of the time are home. If younger viewership watch soaps, they record daily and watch after work. All the hoopla is because the majority of the cast is black. If the network cancels, it's because white people don't want to see an all black cast...period!! I say have the audacity to keep it on!!
