General Hospital spoilers say that fans all can’t help but wonder the same thing: is it time for Cameron Mathinson to take a break as his character, Drew? Maybe. That, or there’s a chance the actor might be looking to get out of his contract. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Many General Hospital fans have taken to social media to weigh in on how different Drew has been acting lately and how it almost seems like Cameron Mathison seems to be phoning in his performances.
Now, that’s not to say that he is, but something just seems to be off and it’s enough for General Hospital fans and critics to feel concerned about what the future might hold.
Some have even taken to social media to weigh in on the matter with, “The emotions are just so surface level. Drew showed no reaction really to Sam dying.”
“He’s just kind of pissed about Monica kicking him out, the mother he was so connected to. When he talks about Willow it’s just empty words, like a robot.”
Another critic wrote, “His reaction to Sam’s death really irks me. You would think she was an acquaintance or something instead of his ex-wife/ mother of his child.”
“This is the same woman he wanted to get back with until she blurted out that she was in love with Dante. Like, make your voice quiver like you’re about to cry or something.”
And then there was this comment as well: “I hadn’t really thought about Billy Miller playing out the scenes as opposed to Cameron Matheson. I think because it’s too painful to think about Billy. But he would’ve crushed it.”
“I think Steve Burton has really done a good job these past few months with this part of the storyline but I know Billy would’ve been damn good. Cameron? Nope.”

Believe me if Billy was still on as Drew they would not be doing a storyline like this. Drew is no Billy...I love when Billy played Drew - he fit the part and Cameron does not
As BM actually created the Drew role, there is no comparison to Drew's persona other than what was demonstrated by BM. But, I do agree Cameron even before his current persona change did not portray what BM started.
I think we are in for a Who Killed Drew scenario!
Never was a BM fan, but am very glad as Drew's persona has changed so dramatically, he was not playing the part. Writers have penned the Drew character so horribly, unrecognizable is not even a word to describe him. If he exits canvas, don't feel he would be missed in any way.
Please let him out of his contract . He needs to go. He just doesn’t have the acting chops to pull off this inane storyline! Bye Drew! 🙏🏻

Oh, please. Any thing that will get rid of Cameron M! He has been horrible in every storyline. So not right for GH. I don’t care how famous he is. He can’t act.
Get rid of the suckiest actor Drew. He and Willow’s storyline is so wrong on so many levels levels. First there is the unbelievable disgust of it, second, definitely no chemistry and the acting I’d F minus. GET RID OF DEADWEIGHT
