As many B&B fans are aware of, Matthew is currently on paternity leave. That’s because he and his wife Brytnee welcomed their first child.

Just last month, Brytnee took to her Instagram account to share a new family photo of her alongside Matthew and their new bundle of joy. She captioned her post with, “Merry Christmas from The Atkinsons!” 

And while there’s no doubt that Matthew is enjoying his new family life at home, a lot of people can’t help but wonder if he will ever return to the canvas. After all, Thomas Forrester can’t stay in Paris forever. 

There’s so much going on back at Forrester Creations that Thomas is going to be needed back in Los Angeles sooner rather than later.

That’s why the producers are supposedly preparing for a recast just in case Matthew isn’t ready to get back to work just yet. Here’s hoping that he does come back sooner rather than later, though.
