As many of our readers have noticed, the CBS network has been airing back to back episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful. One happens to be a brand new episode while the other one is an older episode.
This has prompted a lot of viewers to wonder why the network has decided to bring back so many nostalgic episodes. Could it be that the soap is viewership and as a result, money as well?
Are they trying to remind fans of all the good and even dramatic times that happened between the Forrester, Spencer and Logan legacy families from back in the day?
Well, not necessarily. CBS is about to debut their brand new daytime television show, Beyond the Gates and as a result, they are just trying to fill in that extra slot for the back to back episodes.
Beyond the Gates will air at 2pm, which is the same time as General Hospital airs on the ABC network. Clearly, CBS wants to keep their viewers hooked by giving them a daily double dose of B&B before they tune in to Beyond the Gates.
It’s a formula that might work. Soap veteran Michele Van Jean will serve as the head writer and showrunning for the show. Other executive producers will include Sheila Ducksworth, Leon Russell, Derrick Johnson and Kimberly Doebereine.
Beyond The Gates premieres Monday, February 24th on the CBS network. This is a debut that you are not going to want to miss.
Of course, The Bold and the Beautiful fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.
