Could this be the reason why she’s been so quiet lately? That’s what a lot of daytime television fans can’t help but wonder as there’s heavy speculation on social media that suggests Beyond The Gates might be bringing on a very special new star for their show.

As many of our readers are aware of, Kelly was fired from General Hosptial late last summer, despite being with the show for over two decades. 

Kelly has not signed on with another show since then. A lot of fans were hoping that she would go on either The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless or Days of Our Lives, but that hasn’t happened.

Not only that, but they were also hoping that Kelly would make the jump to primetime if things weren’t working out for her in the daytime television world. Her fans clearly miss her and want to see her back on the canvas and that’s why they are hoping for a special announcement soon. 

For those not in the know, The Gates is a new drama about a wealthy black family residing at an upscale gated community. 

What’s Next For Kelly Monaco?

Soap veteran Michele Van Jean will serve as the head writer and showrunning for the show. Other executive producers will include Sheila Ducksworth, Leon Russell, Derrick Johnson and Kimberly Doebereine. We are already getting very excited about this one!

CBS said in a statement, “THE GATES will be everything we love about daytime drama, from a new and fresh perspective. This series will salute an audience that has been traditionally underserved, with the potential to be a groundbreaking moment for broadcast television.”

Beyond The Gates premieres Monday, February 24th on the CBS network.
