And of course, a lot of fans want to know what happened and why the two of them don’t even seem to be on speaking terms anymore.

There was a time not too long ago that many General Hospital fans couldn’t help but wonder if Steve and Kelly were an off-screen couple the same way that their characters Jason Morgan and Sam McCall were together in Port Charles.

Of course, those rumors turned out to never be true. After all, Steve was married to his ex-wife Sheree Burton while Kelly supposedly had a relationship with her other General Hospital co-star, Billy Miller. 

But a lot of fans couldn’t help but wonder what could have been between the two of them, should they have followed that spark they had from behind the cameras to off camera, too.

Back during the summer of 2024, Steve was just as puzzled as the rest of the daytime television world when it was announced that Kelly was getting fired from the soap. At that point, it was already pretty clear that the two of them were clearly not on speaking terms anymore.

Either Kelly had distanced herself from Steve or Steve just didn’t want anything to do with the nonstop drama that was always in Kelly’s orbit. Either way, something must have been said behind the scenes for them to have the falling out that they did.

So far both Kelly Monaco and Steve Burton have not made any comments about the matter although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. They have not denied or confirmed any of the speculation. Watch this space for more.
