General Hospital news strongly suggests that Steve Burton knows that sometimes it’s best not to say anything, kind of like his own character, Jason Morgan.
In fact, there’s heavy speculation that the actor is being forced to keep his political beliefs to himself just because he wants to keep his job. Even if he does support President Donald Trump, you wouldn’t know it. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
As many General Hospital fans are aware of by now, Steve, along with his former co-star Ingo Rademacher, were both let go back in November 2021 simply because they refused to comply with the ABC network’s vaccine mandate at the time.
Steve went on to work for Days of Our Lives while Ingo has had a hard time finding a job in the entertainment industry.
But now that Steve Burton is back, he knows that he can’t jeopardize his position within the soap. Unlike his former co-star Ingo Rademacher, he also knows that he’s better off not voicing his political opinions with the world.
He knows that it’s best to separate his personal opinions from his professional life. After all, getting a good paying job in the soap industry isn’t easy and that’s why Steve is counting his lucky stars. He knows he’s in a very good position right now.
Then again, there are a lot of soap stars who keep quiet about their political beliefs on social media. The only exception seems to be Nancy Lee Grahn, who loves to say what she wants on X (formerly Twitter) at any given time.
Steve Burton might feel like it’s not fair to him but at the same time, he wants to keep his job and he also wants to cash his paycheck at the end of the week.

Good. It proves HE has common sense and knows it's better not to rile people up. Too bad NLG doesn't have ANY common sense.
Good Steve is keeping quiet. No one needs to know his political preferences. Plus too much about actor's private lives is being published - after all they are people too. Viewers who watch the soaps wouldn't want their private lives published for all to see. Just because your profession keeps you in the public eye, viewers should allow those people the same courtesies as you would want for yourself.
