For those who have been hoping that she would possibly change her mind, we’ve got bad news for you. That’s because it’s not going to happen.
General Hospital spoilers say that as much as her fans would love to see it, Kelly Monaco is refusing to come back.
As many of our readers already know, Kelly was fired from the hit ABC soap during the summer of 2024 but still hasn’t been given a reason as to why she was pink-slipped. The actress played her character Sam McCall for over two decades.
And while there’s a lot of speculation suggesting that Sam might return to the canvas, it won’t be with Kelly Monaco. In fact, there’s a very good chance that the character might get recast altogether.
After all, Sam McCall is a legacy character. It’s not like she can stay off the canvas forever. And while it doesn’t look like Kelly is going to come back (and it’s not because she can’t, it might be because she doesn’t want to at this point), the producers are going to have to find a new actress to fill in her shoes.
This might be one of the most controversial decisions that the producers of General Hospital make, but it’s one that has to be made sooner rather than later. Even fans would agree with that.
So far Kelly Monaco herself has not made any comments about the matter, but we will definitely update you with all of the latest details once they come in. However, as much as fans might petition to bring her back on the show, it’s highly unlikely that it will happen. Watch this space for more.

If Kelly Monaco won't reprise her role, don't bring Sam McCall back. It's Kelly we want to see. Also if you kill off Sonny, the show has nothing left. You have gotten rid of to many great characters in such a short period. I don't see GH lasting much longer
