General Hospital Spoilers: Is Ava Interested in Ric More Than Ric is Interested in Ava?

General Hospital Spoilers leak Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) had a rather uncomfortable lunch together this past week.

Ava promptly inserted her foot into her mouth when she assumed — quite wrongly — that Ric had taken up the mantle of being her knight in shining armor and wasn’t going to be charging her for his legal services anymore.

His curt response left Ava in a position she isn’t all that accustomed to with egg on her face and cheeks blushing. These two battled it out for the award for the least embarrassed and most empowered person in their two-person state of confusion. Who will come out on top though?

Ric Assumes the Role of the Lawyer

Ric is a business man first and foremost, and he’s been burned by enough women to know he shouldn’t give to a woman who seems only to take.

But Ava was keen to see where their relationship might head, and Ric was quick to direct any thought of that back to the task at hand.

Not surprisingly, Ava knew how to redirect him to maintain control of the situation though — implying it was she who wanted to get the matter of her custody case sorted before jumping into anything with Ric. Is that really the case though?

Spoilers Claim Ava Plays It Coy

Agreeing to Ric’s surprising terms, Ava decided she may only be interested in him if he is able to secure full custody of Avery Corinthos (Grace and Ava Scarola) for her.

However, judging from her initial segue into the conversation, it seemed that Ava was quite taken with Ric — or was she just indulging him because she thought she wouldn’t have to foot this bill while in financial disrepair?

Ava has been known to use a guy or two, and Ric probably is no stranger to her sordid history. While he’s watching his own back, is he just pretending to have Ava’s too?

Two Peas in a Pod

Ric and Ava may actually end up being quite well-suited for one another — and that’s because they’re both back-stabbing and looking out for number one.

Ric may be putting Ava’s best interests at the forefront when he’s got his attorney cap on defending her in court — and billing for every minute of it, but is he romantically interested in her?

Likewise, Ava is flirting with the idea of something more between them, but is she truly into Ric — or just what he may do for her in the courtroom versus the bedroom?

The fans seem to overwhelmingly suspect that Ava could get her heart broken, seeing as how Ric is nearly her only friend left in town.

But Ric isn’t exactly Mr. Popular himself. Will these two find they fit together quite nicely, or will Ava be done with Ric if he can’t score her what she wants? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
