Kelly Ripa Avoiding General Hospital Stars?

There’s strong speculation among General Hospital fans that All My Children alum Kelly Ripa might have something against the show’s stars. That, or she might have something against daytime television altogether.

That’s because many people have noticed that Kelly has not invited any General Hospital stars on her daytime talk show, even though both are on the ABC network. And of course, a lot of people want to know why.

For instance, General Hospital stars Maurice Benard and Laura Wright were both on Jennifer Hudson’s talk show. They have also been on other ABC-owned shows like The View but for some reason or another it seems like Kelly just wants to avoid them altogether.

Then again, Kelly herself hasn’t had the best experience with her soap opera past, either. She once recalled when All My Children’s ‘brutal’ wardrobe department criticized her for not losing weight only nine days after she gave birth.

She said during her podcast back in 2023, “The wardrobe people were like, ‘We thought you’d be smaller by now.”

“I was like, ‘Well, I’m not going to be smaller anytime soon. I don’t know much but here’s what I do know. This looks like it’s going to be here for a while. I’m not in any rush.’”

Kelly continued, “I didn’t recognize my body. I was on a soap and I had to go back to work 9 days after, 9 days! It was brutal.”

But then again, does that even give her a reason to stay away from the soap opera industry altogether? Or will we still see some of our favorite General Hospital stars on her show in the future? That’s what fans want to know.
