As many GH fans are already aware of, Michael is currently in Germany getting treatment. His mother Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is by his side. There’s a very good chance that when Carly gets ready to go back home to Port Charles, her son is going to go with her.

But here’s the thing: actor Chad Duell shockingly quit the role late last year. While there have been a lot of rumors suggesting why he left, no one really knows the truth of what happened behind closed doors between the actor and the producers of the soap.

But seeing how Michael is part of a legacy family and the son of Carly and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), he can’t stay off the canvas for too long, right? That’s why so many fans believe that the character will be back sooner rather than later.

But as far as who is going to play Michael remains to be seen. There’s some speculation by General Hospital fans that actor Brandon Barash might come back to Port Charles to pick up the role after he himself was fired from Days of Our Lives last year. After all, he is the right age for it.
