There is really no denying who the stars of the show are. General Hospital actors Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) and Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) are going to be appearing on Jennifer Hudson’s talk show this week.

However, a lot of fans can’t help but wonder why Maurice and Laura are going to be on the hit daytime talk show when there are so many other stars that fans would love to see. Is this because they always manage to swipe the spotlight from the rest of the General Hospital cast? That’s what critics want to know.

While there’s no doubt that both Maurice and Laura play very important roles in Port Charles, some people think that they get a little too much screen time compared to the other actors as some of the storylines revolve around their characters a lot. In fact, sometimes there isn’t a day that goes by that Carly is not on the canvas.

And while there’s no doubt that a lot of actors come and go in this fictional town of Port Charles, there are a handful who have always stayed and two of them just happen to be Sonny and Carly. Sure, they are no longer together but they will always be connected to one another because of the love they once had for each other.

But even with that said, there are a lot of General Hospital fans who would like to see the limelight on someone else for a chance. As much as there are plenty of viewers out there who love Maurice and Laura, there are just as many who simply want  a break from them, and we certainly don’t blame them for feeling that way.

So far both Maurice and Laura have not responded to any of the criticism they’ve received.
