General Hospital Spoilers: Is There More To Ava And Ric Than Just Business?

Did you see that kiss? I’m talking about how Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) finally planted one on Ava Jerome (Maura West) after yet another spat on General Hospital.

He recently not only represented her, but got her off the hook for the accidental death of Kristina Corinthos’ (Kate Mansi) baby, and now he is trying to help her get custody of her daughter back from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard). Ava and Ric are both Port Charles outcasts so teaming up in any capacity makes a lot of sense for them.

General Hospital Spoilers: They’re Not All Bad, They’ve Just Been Written That Way

It didn’t take long for Ric to start to see the good in Ava. He isn’t wearing rose-colored glasses, he sees her for exactly what she is, but still seems to have a soft spot.

Ava is used to everyone leaving her, so to have Ric in her corner despite her past mistakes seems to mean something. He also doesn’t run away from her when she lashes out at him, instead, he goes toe-to-toe with Ava.

General Hospital Spoilers: Ric Is Always Thinking A Few Steps Ahead

Despite the things that Ric has done in the past, he is showing his good side when it comes to helping Ava. He knows that she can’t get custody of her daughter while living in a hotel, so he took it upon himself to find a suitable place for Ava to live. A permanent address, is something that the court requires for custody.

Of course, Ava thinks the place is a claustrophobic dump, but eventually comes around and realizes that he is right. Not only does she need a home, but Ric took the time to find her one.

General Hospital Spoilers: That Kiss

Ava shared that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will no longer be a character witness for her, a devastating blow for her custody case, and after Ric processed the information, he became very reassuring.

He told Ava that he is still with her in this fight and slowly started to kiss her. Not a quick kiss either, the kind of kiss where you could see them both realizing that there is more to them than just legalities.

Have Ava and Ric finally met their match in each other? In so many ways they are like a mirror image of each other, so could this actually turn into something real? What do you think?
