She might look like she has the ideal life but for The Young and the Restless star Courtney Hope, she admits that she struggles in the same ways that many of her fans do in her every day life.

The actress, who is best known for her role as Sally Spectra on the hit CBS soap, recently opened up about the good, the bad, and maybe even the downright ugly in a new social media post that she shared with her fans.

The actress put it this way, “This year was weird, jolting and absolutely beautiful. My words moving into 2024 were growth, expansion, and peace. And while those are seemingly positive words, I didn’t factor in that they would come with a lot of grief, stretching, and redirecting to achieve these things.”

She continued, “I spent a huge majority of this year feeling like I was watching myself and my immediate world as a fly on the wall, with no attachment to all I thought I knew and was.”

“My brain and memory literally stopped working for a couple months and I was removed from my body. It was strange and scary, and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t concerned and scrambling in moments.”

The Young and the Restless News: What’s Next For Courtney Hope?

“As someone in touch with my body and feelings, losing that to burnout was wildly terrifying. Some challenges happened that kept trying to shake my grounding and my faith, but they didn’t prevail! It was confusing, but I ultimately decided I was being given an opportunity to awaken and start from scratch in choosing who I wanted to be and what I wanted to stand for.”

She concluded, “I’ve never spent so much time alone and I finally began to love myself and others as I always wanted to.”
