It certainly isn’t easy being Victor Newman on the small screen and it certainly isn’t easy being Eric Braeden in real life, either.

That’s because it appears as though The Young and the Restless star is rebuilding his life after his family had just suffered a horrible tragedy.

Eric, who is best known for his role as Victor Newman on the hit CBS soap, has been left devastated after his house burned down during the historic Los Angeles County fires. 

The actor had spent the last 45 years making memories with his family in his beloved home but now it’s all been burnt down to the ground.

And because the actor has been very quiet, a lot of his The Young and the Restless fans can’t help but wonder what he might be going through behind closed doors. 

There’s a very good chance that he’s trying to rebuild his life by finding a new home for him and his family.

Of course, it can’t be easy for him. Eric Braeden has gone through a lot of things during his life but he’s never had to deal with anything like this. 

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Eric recalled the night of the wildfire. He was hosting his granddaughter at the time.

He said, “I remember her and my wife sitting on the couch, talking, having a wonderful time. Talking about the fact that one day, that (the house) would be hers.”

The Young an the Restless News: What’s Next For Eric Braeden And His Family?

“Primarily, when you want to go home, you say ‘wait a minute, I don’t live there anymore.’ It’s happened to be two or three time.”

Eric also aded that the politicization of the wildfires is wrong. “So, now to point fingers at anyone is outrageous and irresponsible,” he said. “We’ll rebuild the damn place.”
