General Hospital spoilers say that she’s not going anywhere, anytime soon. Of course, we are talking about Laura Wright as there was some speculation on social media suggesting that she was leaving the show.

A lot of General Hospital fans can’t help but wonder if this might be the end for Carly Corinthos, especially after the character left for Germany with her son Michael Corinthos during the January 21st episode.

Many fans took to social media to wonder what was going on seeing how Chad Duell, the actor who plays Michael, has officially left the show. 

But Laura has made it pretty clear that she’s not going anywhere anytime soon and that Port Charles is going to be her forever home.

When one of her fans asked on X (formerly Twitter) what was going on by writing, “Is it true you’re getting married and leaving the show for a while? If so, you will come back won’t you?” Laura was quick to answer back.

The actress simply said, “Nope not true at all.”

In other words, Laura Wright won’t allow General Hospital’s producers to fire her. She knows that as Carly Corinthos, she’s a legacy character that simply can’t be replaced. 

That, and the show depends on her more than they did with Kelly Monaco’s character, Sam McCall. A lot of General Hospital fans know that the soap just wouldn’t be the same without Laura and her bouncy blonde locks.

General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Carly Corinthos?

While the soap industry might be an unstable environment for a lot of working actors, it looks like Laura is one of them who doesn’t have to worry at all. So far Laura Wright herself has made no additional comments about the matter.

Then again, General Hospital fans will simply have to tune in to find out what will happen next.
