While the couple is often in the public spotlight, they are also very private when it comes to their personal life. But at the same time, a lot of people have noticed some rather strange thing about Barack and Michelle Obama over the years.

It’s been weeks since anyone has even seen Barack or Michelle Obama together, let alone hear from them and of course, a lot of people want to know why. It seems like the two of them have been spending more time apart than together.

Both Barack and Michelle were very vocal about their support for Kamala Harris and even hit the campaign trail in the hopes that they could help her win the keys to the White House. Unfortunately, their efforts were not enough as Donald Trump won the election in a landslide.

However, Michelle was also slammed for her toxic behavior. That’s because she absolutely refused to attend Jimmy Carter’s funeral in Washington, D.C. on Thursday. And that’s not because she doesn’t respect the former president, but because she didn’t want to be seen sitting next to a handful of people that she apparently despises.

What’s Next For The Obamas?

Michelle’s husband Barack Obama was at the funeral and at one point, he even looked like he was getting along with Donald Trump as the two men were cracking jokes with one another.

It’s also being said that Michelle Obama might not attend Trump’s inauguration. As many fans and critics can’t help but remember, Michelle had a difficult time holding back her true feelings each and every time she had to stand next to Donald Trump. She just couldn’t believe at the time that he was becoming the new president of the United States.

And while this is going to be a very historic moment for the country, Michelle is okay with sitting this one out. Sure, she’s unhappy that Kamala Harris didn’t beat Donald Trump in the presidential election but she also knows that there isn’t much that she can do about it at this point.
