Wanting love is natural. Chelsea has been confirming something encouraging that others, including Adam’s oldest sister, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), have noticed. Adam has matured to a degree within the last year. Chelsea, like everyone else, is hoping that progress continues.

Willing herself to be optimistic, despite whatever life might have appeared to be in the moment, was Mary Richards’ (Mary Tyler Moore) outlook. That’s a great perspective to embrace, as Chelsea is demonstrating.

She’s choosing to enter what could become a vexing situation, knowing that there is potential with Adam, both good and bad. Yet, that’s what a good parent or, as she’s said, good parents, meaning she and Adam do.
