She’s just stating it like it is. Joy Behar says she wakes up terrified every day at the thought of Trump taking office.
She says she already “misses” Joe Biden and criticizes Elon Musk for not using his wealth to end world hunger or to donate to victims of California wildfires.
While on The View, Joy said, “You know, I really miss Biden. I feel like we were safe, like I didn’t have to worry. It was that everything wouldn’t blow up, and I could live my life while he was there. Now, every day I wake up, and I worry: What is this guy gonna do next?”
“And these oligarchs—they need to start showing their money. These guys, Bezos and Musk, they give it to Trump. Do they think they’re gonna live forever? Everybody dies. I hate to break it to them, but you are not gonna live forever. According to the World Food Program, we could end world hunger by 2030 with $40 billion. That’s all it would take.”
The television personality continued, “And Elon Musk—his net worth grew by $170 billion in the month after the election. He just keeps making more and more money, and nothing is done with that money to help people.”
However, it’s been noted that Joy Behar herself is yet to donate any of her money to the less fortunate.
Of course, the internet sure did have a lot to say about the matter. Some even commented with, “Joy’s critique of billionaires is ironic given her own wealth. If she’s so worried about Trump, then maybe she should lead by example with her millions?”
Another critic wrote, “Joy Behar clearly doesn’t understand net worth. His wealth comes from his ownership stakes in Tesla, SpaceX, X, and xAI. He doesn’t have $400+ billion dollars sitting in the bank.”
And then there was this comment as well: “This crap is the number 1 rated daytime talk show in our country right now with over 2 million viewers. Where is the ‘regulation’ and the fact checkers for the disinformation and divisive speech they spew out every single day??”
