There are several reports suggesting Barack and Michelle Obama are getting a divorce. And apparently to some eagle-eyed fans and critics, they believe that the signs of their split have been there all along.
That’s because it’s been a long time since Barack and Michelle Obama have been seen together in public. Not only that, but it seems like the former First Lady keeps on backing out of public appearances with her husband, too.
Here are 5 signs that say the Obamas are headed towards a nasty split:
He Doesn’t Have Her Back
Back in October, Michelle shared a photo of the two of them together to celebrate their 32nd anniversary. She wrote at the time, “32 action packed years with my honey! Through it all, thank you for always having my back, being by my side, and finding ways to make me smile.”
Well, clearly it doesn’t look like Barack had her back when he was seen cracking jokes with Donald Trump, who happens to be the one person on this planet that she loathes. Michelle couldn’t have been happy seeing her husband get so close to Donald like that.
Michelle Is Refusing To Play Games
Speaking of Donald Trump, Michelle is also refusing to be fake. She’s already announced that she’s not going to attend his inauguration.
But for some people, this doesn’t make sense because if Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris can go, then clearly Michelle can go, too. Some people think that Michelle is using this as an excuse to not be with her husband.

Michelle Obama also feels embarrassed that her husband Barack Obama once had a close association with Sean ‘Diddy Combs’ for Democratic causes. Because of all the allegations made against Diddy, Michelle feels ashamed that her husband’s handlers even allowed the rapper near them.
Michelle Wanted A 2000 Divorce
Michelle wanted to divorce Barack Obama back in 2000. This was after Barack lost in his Chicago primary defeat against Democratic Congressman Bobby Rush. Michelle was so cold to him at the time that she didn’t provide him with any support or comfort.
A Future Presidential Run
Michelle Obama wants to make her own decisions. There was some speculation suggesting that Michelle was thinking about a presidential run late last year after Joe Biden dropped out of the race. Well, as a single woman Michelle won’t have to compromise her hopes and dreams anymore.
So far the Obamas have made no comments about the matter. They have also not confirmed or denied the divorce rumors, too.
