This past year, both Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff were in the spotlight in more ways than they could have ever imagine.

That’s because Kamala was very close to becoming the first female president of the United States while Doug was going to be the country’ first gentleman. 

But of course, that didn’t happen because Donald Trump managed to crush Kamala in the presidential election. 

Yet, a lot of people still can’t help but wonder what Kamala and Doug’s marriage is all about. After all, they did make headlines together for a lot of good reasons and a lot of wrong reasons, too.

Back in December, both fans and critics were wondering if Kamala and Doug might be headed towards a divorce. That’s mostly because the couple has been dealing with a lot of stress behind the scenes ever since Kamala lost the presidential election to Donald Trump.

And here everyone probably thought that it would be Donald and his wife that would be headed towards splitsville, right?

Celeb News: What’s Next For Kamala Harris?

If that weren’t enough, both Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff looked like they wanted to be anywhere but next to each other during Jimmy Carter’s funeral service on Thursday.

Not only that, but things were also quite awkward for Kamala because both Donald Trump and Barack Obama were sitting right behind her. And to make things even more awkward for her, they seemed to be getting along quite well as Obama was even laughing at some of Trump’s jokes.

And because this certainly isn’t the best week, month or even year for Kamala Harris, Jill Biden sat right next to her during the funeral service as well. 

Doug didn’t even console his wife one time during the entire ordeal.

So far both Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff haven’t made any comments about the speculation, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.
