The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) has the best intentions. She’s risking the relationship with her daughter to try and right a wrong that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) is encouraging Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) to continue pursuing.
Brooke accepted Carter’s offer to return to a role she once held. As Forrester Creations’ new Chief Executive Officer, Brooke has put herself in a position to have a say in the family business that is no longer run by the Forrester family.
Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) response to Carter seizing control of the business through a deceptive legal maneuver was understandable. However, his refusal to give Brooke the benefit of the doubt after she later explained why she took the CEO job was foolish.
Ridge overreacted to Brooke’s CEO announcement. She should have contacted him before telling the world, but her explanation of what happened was truthful and made sense.
But fans know this isn’t the first time Ridge has allowed his emotions to get the best of him. That happens with Brooke because she is his most profound love.
Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) still knows that but is choosing to believe that Brooke’s gone too far this time, with audience members raising one of their eyebrows, pushing their lips to one side, and methodically shaking their heads because they’ve seen the gist of this story before.
Yet, the point isn’t that the audience is watching another triangle tale. Ridge remains incapable of learning from his past mistakes where he was too hard on Brooke.
Brooke has an opportunity. She, too, must recognize her past errors and not overreact to Ridge’s teenager-in-love-like behavior.
Her repeated use of the word destiny underscores that she’s the wiser mind in this pairing. But the hard slap she applied to Ridge’s face strongly implies that a cool-down period may or will extend beyond a few days or weeks.
Carter has given Brooke the space to reshape FC in a way she never would have been able to before. Brooke’s first significant test will be whether she recognizes that Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) is Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) poison plant. If she fails it, Brooke’s reign as CEO might not be indefinite.
There haven’t been many instances of Taylor having more power over Brooke since the character Budig now plays last divorced Ridge, but this is one of them.
Taylor has a real opportunity to recapture what she and Ridge shared. She is more optimistic than ever because she’s attracted her greatest love rather than chased him, with a wink toward the law of attraction theory implied.
And yes, it can be stated as a theory due to the subjective nature of love on both sides of the screen. So, Brooke’s incentive to complete her plan is directly connected to her belief that the love she and Ridge share will overcome all.
