If he could turn back time, he probably would. There’s heavy speculation that suggests Gavin Newman regrets mocking Donald Trump now that his state of California is basically burning down to the ground.

As many of our readers know by now, destructive and life-threatening windstorm continues to batter Southern California. Over 30,000 residents are under evacuation orders as massive wildfires are burning in the Pacific Palisades and Altadena areas.

In a video that he shared on social media, Gavin wrote in his caption, “All hands are on deck to fight the #PalisadesFire in Southern California. California is deeply grateful for the brave firefighters & first responders battling the blaze.”

“We will continue to mobilize resources and support local communities as they respond to this severe weather.”

During his first term in office, Donald Trump warned Gavin Newsom what could happen if forests weren’t managed properly. He even said back in 2019, “Gavin Newsom has done a terrible job of forest management.”

“Every year, as the fire’s rage and California burns, it is th same thing – and then he comes to the Federal Goverment for help. No more. Get your actogether Governor. You don’t see close to the level of burn in other states.”

What’s Next For The State of California?

Of course, his comments section was full of the kind of commentary that he probably doesn’t find very supportive.

Some comments included, “All you did was mock the same person that was telling you to focus on your forestry management and homeless encampments. The People of LA should sue that absolute hell out of you.”

Another critic wrote, “Perhaps if you were not worried about hiring binary firefighters and throwing billions at a bullet train to nowhere, we would be in a position to fight these fires.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Your job is not posing for the cameras. You should have been treating the forestry and brush. The state should be working on preventative measures year round. 365 days a year. You should be removed from office. Justin Trudeau 2.0.”
