At this point, it’s safe to say that it’s simply not going to happen. Of course, we are talking about Gavin Newsom as many fans and critics on both sides of the aisle will agree that the California Governor has just single handedly killed his shot for the 2028 presidential election.

That’s because he is being blamed for the wildfire that is currently ravaging through Los Angeles County. As of press time, it has not been contained at all.

California residents are now forced to leave everything behind to escape the deadly wildfires while also facing new threats. The massive Palisades Fire broke out in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon.

It goes without saying that a lot of people are putting the blame on Gavin Newsom, who was hoping to throw his name in the hat for the 2027 presidential election. But seeing how the state of California has been dealing with one disaster after another, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.

Of course, the internet certainly has had a lot to say about the matter. Some fans and critics on both sides of the aisle have commented with, “Please prioritize investing in natural resources including wildfire prevention in your proposed budget this Friday. We can’t afford to keep deprioritizing the environment.”

Another critic wrote, “You’re a Joke, fires happen all the time here, how about doing some preventative maintenance instead of waiting for one to happen then getting a photo opportunity.”

“Decades of mismanagement and you’re somehow surprised? Time to resign ya clown.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Worst Governor to ever hold office! This fire, the Paradise Fire money lost etc all is your fault. We recalled you and you snaked your way out of that but we want NOTHING to do with you.”

“You’re literally burning down our state and have turned it into hell. How people still vote for you, is beyond me! Or the system is rigged.”

So far Gavin Newsom himself has not made any comments about the criticism that he’s received just yet.
