This is perhaps not the best way to start off the new year. There’s a new report that says Jill Biden got the priciest gift from a foreign leader back in 2023, which happened to be a $20,000 diamond. And of course, a lot of critics can’t help but raise their eyebrows over it.
According to the latest reports, Jill Biden received a 7.5-carat diamond from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
If that weren’t enough, she also received a a brooch valued at $14,063 from the Ukrainian ambassador to the United States and a bracelet, brooch and photograph album worth $4,510 from the president and first lady of Egypt.
Oksana Markarova gave the first lady the forget-me-not-flower brooch on the same day that the Bidens hosted her at the 2023 State of the Union address.
But an annotation on the gift registry says, “Non-acceptance would cause embarrassment to donor and U.S. Government.”
However, the ambassador to Ukraine says that the brooch cost less than 1 dollar even though the White House estimated its cost at $14,000.
It goes without saying that the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.
Some have even commented with, “If Melania got a gift like this, you know that the mainstream media would be all over this. They would call it a disgrace. But when it’s the Bidens, they don’t say a word.”
“Which government subsidized vacation are they returning from this time? They can’t leave soon enough! She’ll have Joe locked in the basement before dark on inauguration day.”
Another critic wrote, “This should be a non-news story but it’s another day for the Bidens. I can’t wait till Melania is our First Lady again. She has class and style. Not to mention the fact that she is gorgeous.”
And then there was this comment as well: “What a wasteful spender. Ahhh, Jill Biden. Going from Vogue covergirl and First Lady to wiping drool off Joe’s chin and reminding him who she is every day. Her future is depressing.”
So far the Bidens have not made any comments about the controversy just yet.

Bidens can’t leave the White House soon enough! Old Joe sold us out and it stands to reason that his other half would do the same. Oh sure they forced her to accept all of those expensive “gifts” uh huh twisted her arm. I suppose the lying old Joe was forced to issue the blanket pass for all of his sons crimes too!
