It seems like some people just can’t let go of his past. Of course, we are talking about General Hospital star Steve Burton, as he’s once again getting shamed by the mainstream media. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

As many of our readers already know, Steve Burton has popped the all important question to his girlfriend of one year, Michelle Lundstrom. 

And while there’s on doubt that this is a very happy and special occasion for the couple, some media outlets out there couldn’t help but remind Steve of his very painful past.

For example, Page Six wrote a headline stating, “‘General Hospital’ star Steve Burton engaged to Michelle Lundstrom after divorcing wife who got pregnant by another man.”

Of course, they were referring to Steve’s ex-wife Sheree Burton, who announced her pregnancy via social media back in 2022.

That same time, Steve was forced to clarify a few things after his wife Sheree Burton had shared a photo of what looked like a baby bump on her Instagram account. She wrote, “Life is full of surprises.” 

But because the baby was not his, Steve then quickly wrote on his own Instagram account, “I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated. She recently announced that she is expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve.”

And while that seems to be all in the past now, the media just can’t help but point out that Steve has a personal soap opera storyline of his own. 

Either way, it looks like the actor is in a much better place in his life right now and of course, very much looking forward to his next chapter with Michelle. Here’s hoping that their engagement is going to be as drama-free as possible.
