If there is anything that Donald Trump has learned from his first term, it’s that you can’t trust everyone and you certainly can’t take anyone’s word, even if they truly mean it.

And now that he’s getting ready to move back into the White House, Trump is being warned to keep his distance from one particular world leader: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

That’s because it seems like Zelensky might have a hidden agenda. A lot of people couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow when Zelensky started to praise Trump, saying world leaders respect him and thinks he can end the war in Ukraine.

The comments were made during the Lex Fridman podcast. He said, “When I talk about something with Donald Trump, whether we meet in person or we just have a call, all the European leaders always ask, how was it?”

“This shows the influence of Donald Trump, and this has never happened before with an American president.”

“I tell you from my experience, this also gives you confidence that he can stop this war.”

What’s Next For Donald Trump?

Of course, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter. Some comments included, “He knows that cash flow is coming to an end. This is his saving grace so to speak. His country and maybe even his life is probably going to be spared. He can act like this is what he wanted all along.:

Another critic wrote, “The money stops in 15 days. Your war is over Zelensky! Zelensky would do well to hold onto this positive attitude in the coming weeks.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Trump will be negotiating with 2 bad actors from a position of power and influence. It will be interesting and educational. The funding is coming to an end.”

So far Donald Trump himself has made no comments about the matter just yet.
