For those who believe that she doesn’t want any part of her husband Donald Trump’s presidency, we’ve got news for you. That’s because it looks like Melania Trump has just changed her mind about being First Lady of the United States. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
It appears as though Melania is going to be an active First Lady after all. That’s because she just released a statement after the New Orleans terror attack, which claimed at least 15 lives.
As many of our readers already know, an FBI official addressing the media on Thursday said law enforcement is “confident” the suspect, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, acted alone that left 14 people dead in New Orleans.
Melania herself said, “The incidents of violence that have impacted our communities are deeply concerning. The brutality must stop. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the families who are experiencing such profound grief and loss.”
She continued, “Let us strive for a future where peace prevails.”
Of course, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter. Some even commented with, “I thank the Lord God that you and your husband will be returning to the White House soon.”
Meanwhile, there was some speculation suggesting Melania Trump doesn’t want to attend her husband’s inauguration. That’s not because she doesn’t love her husband or doesn’t want to support him.
Instead, it’s because she’s terrified for her family’s safety. After all, there’s already been two attempts at Donald Trump’s life. And seeing how his inauguration is going to be full of both his fans and critics, anything can certainly happen at anytime.
Even with that said though, Melania knows that she has no choice but to attend the inauguration. After all, she is the incoming First Lady and for her not to show up on what will most likely be a very important day for her husband is going to raise eyebrows for sure.
