According to reports, Wildenstein passed away in her sleep from a pulmonary embolism in her Paris hotel. She was best known for her extravagant plastic surgery to resemble a cat. 

What’s more, she famously received $2.5 billion in a divorce settlement from her ex husband, art dealer Alec Wildenstein.

It goes without saying that the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter. Some even commented with, “I feel so sorry for her but her legacy is a warning to all gold diggers out there that money does not equal happiness. You can have just enough money to get by and still be happy because peace of mind is something you can never purchase from any luxury store.”
